Torqly

About us

Who runs Torqly, what we cover and how we check every number.

Last updated 4 November 2026

Torqly is an Indian website about cars, motorcycles, scooters and electric vehicles. We write for people who are about to spend a large amount of money on a vehicle and want straight facts before they walk into a showroom.

What you get here

  • Launch news with the official ex-showroom price, variants and booking details.
  • Bharat NCAP crash-test results explained in plain words.
  • EV subsidy rules (PM E-DRIVE and state waivers) and what they mean for your purchase.
  • Buying guides on on-road price, loans, insurance, fuel types and paperwork.

Why we started

Most car and bike news in India is either a copy of a press release or a sales pitch. Buyers still end up asking the same questions at the dealership: what is the real on-road price, which variant was crash-tested, does the subsidy apply to this model, is the CNG version worth it? Torqly exists to answer those questions in one place, with the source linked.

Who writes Torqly

Torqly is run by Manish Jain. Articles are researched and written by our small editorial team using official sources: manufacturer press releases and price lists, Bharat NCAP reports, the Ministry of Heavy Industries, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, and state transport departments.

How we check facts

  1. Official source first Prices, specifications and ratings come from the brand or the government body that published them. Each article lists its sources at the end.
  2. No guesswork on numbers If a price or figure is not officially announced, we say so instead of printing an estimate as fact.
  3. Corrections When a brand revises a price or we get something wrong, we update the article and change the “updated” date at the top.

What we are not

We are not a dealer and we do not sell vehicles, loans or insurance. Brands do not pay us to publish articles about their products. If we ever publish sponsored content, it will be clearly labelled as sponsored.
